Black conventions and trade shows are an excellent way to build the kind of relationships you should be aspiring to. These Black events attract accomplished speakers, industry and thought leaders, and connectors from all over the world. By surrounding yourself with the most interesting people in your field, you have an opportunity to find new business partners, grow your business, and get new ideas that could change your game up.

If networking isn’t your thing, think of Black events like adult field trips: a fun and engaging way to learn more about whats going on in your field and community. In fact, we teach our students to add conventions and trade shows to their self-syllabus.

And if you needed any more of a reason to add conventions to your calendar, these events give you a chance to experience a new city while doing some self-care by taking that vacation you have been putting off.

How We Chose These Black Events

First, we made sure to include events from all over the world. While most events are in the United States, you will find conventions in Canada, The United Kingdom, and (obviously) Africa.

Second, we only included annual Black events. If you see an event below that has already passed, there is a good chance it will come back around next year.

And finally, we looked for a diverse array of conventions and trade shows. Some are business oriented, some are more relevant to the entertainment industry, but all of them are winners.
