My goal for this group is to give myself and members coping strategies and practical ways to apply the ancient teachings to modern problems.

Here are my biggest takeaways by Chapter:

    Week 1

    Preface and Chapter 1

    • Shetau Akhet – sheta (kemetic word) means secret
      • Shetat or seshetat – secret rituals
      • Shetai – ‘Hidden God’
      • Sheti – spiritual practice and discipline
      • Nehast – Spiritual awakening
      • Shetaut Neter – the way of wisdom of the hidden divinity which is behind all creation.
        • Ashby suggests this is what the Kemetic religion was called
    • Religion has 3 levels of practice
      • Myth – Traditions, stories, etc
      • Ritual
        • By repeating rituals one can think, feel, act out, and experience spiritual enlightenment
        • If you understand the superficial teachings of a religious myth, and you practice its rituals blindly without understanding the deeper implications, you will not obtain the higher realization. Your practice will be at the level of dogma.
      • Metaphysical philosophy behind the myth that leads to spiritual realization (which all religions are pointing to

Side note:  It has been 38,785 years since Ra – as Ptah – established the Kingdom of Man. The year is not 2019. Its 38,785.
