• The rant against religion and it's mainstream strangle on our minds

Below is a link to the Instagram account of Ayesha Curry (NBA star and my favorite player Steph Curry’s) with a display of her adorable daughter Riley.

Sometimes, I think to myself, What if she was on some real Black liberation tone by demonstrating the how-to’s of navigating business strategy and wealth-building [like a Nipsey or Garvey], rather than “believe in God and he will watch over you” type of rhetoric, would her voice be as prominent?

For instance, in 2017 I saw Magic Johnson speak at a Forum. He was talking a bunch of motivational jargon, without one iota of actionable steps to walk out of the conference room, and apply practically in your life, to then move forward with wealth creation. All I could think to myself was, “damn, imagine if he suddenly switched up his tone…and was on some real life Black empowerment vibe” and not that “God will deliver your blessing nonsense” that leaves your mind nice and soothed, but…still broke without a plan.

    Your thoughts?

Im conflicted. There are many in the mainstream who are and do spit real. But they are not received the same way because Christians have a unified philosophy that everyone can rally around and support. But the Conscious community is struggling to articulate ours because so many snakes muddy the message (how do you all feel about Yvette Carnell ?). On the other hand, of course there would be mass support for mainstream mindlessness. We are the chosen and enlightened few. Our messages are not 200k+ Instagram like material. And we should be grateful for that.

I am unfamiliar with Yvette Carnell’s body of work.

I’ve watched one of her videos on Youtube, and was semi-interested. I can’t remember what exactly she was ranting about that time (might’ve been Bill Cosby), but again, I didn’t walk away with any actionable steps to take. That’s evident because I never again watched her videos.

She appears to have a decent following and that’s meaningful, so she must be an effective speaker. I can tell she is a smart woman who has tapped into a burgeoning market for thought leadership. Which to me, is unecessary because like you’ve mentioned, “all the answers to our questions are within the pages of the scrolls written by our Warrior Scholars ages ago!” The roadmap to victory has already been laid and paved. There is nothing new many of these Youtube prophets will say that hasn’t already been solved.
