This is an easy question to answer, but hard to practice. Be gentle with yourself, spend time transitioning, and acknowledge that what you are doing is hard but valuable. Here is what I want you to do:
Step 1: Make sure you have a whole food, plant-based shopping list. We have a list of 100+ if you need it. Click here to see the list.
Step 2: Only buy foods that you know you will like and eat on the list. It doesn’t matter how great fonio or mango is if you buy it and dont eat it!
Step 3: Replace 1 item on your plate each day with a vegetable from your list.
Step 4: Find or create recipes that use the ingredients you bought. Use those recipes to replace 1 full meal each day with a plant based meal.
Step 5 and beyond: Keep replacing meals until you are eating a whole food, plant-based diet!
